Gypsy Soul and kayaks at dock

Gypsy Soul Adventures

Bald Eagle perched on log in the water

Gypsy Soul Adventures is a local operation providing a variety of marine adventures.

We share our west coast experience and knowledge of local history: some Indigenous and some from the early settlers. From hidden coves that offer blissful privacy, to amazing discoveries of the life and times of early pioneers — we know our home waters and then some.

Our west coast is a boater’s paradise. On this site we provide information to the kayak community, the power boaters, sailing vessels and fishing information.

As a retired Coxswain from the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue, local Halfmoon Bay station, I endeavour to share details of safety, weather and course information.

My love of the west coast started as a kid growing up near the sockeye capital of BC, Steveston. From rafts and dinghies to kayaks and power boats to the ever-present commercial vessels, the west coast has called my attention for adventure and freedom, and continues to do so. I experience great joy in getting friends and family out on the water and sharing that connection to the awe of our amazing Salish Sea and beyond.

I am honoured to live, work, and play on the unceded territory of the Shishalh Nation and the Squamish People, currently known as the Sunshine Coast.
