A Whale of a Day
We were just drifting beside Pirate Rock (a low tide reef) when I thought I saw a log roll with a branch whipping out of the water. It was very odd because it was in 3 feet of water. I looked again and it rolled the other way. It was an Orca whale rolling on the reef! One of the charter clients from gypsysouladventures.ca Kyle captured this iphone footage of the pod swimming by us.
Beyond amazing to have an Orca look you in the eye as it swims by.
